Jason Hartley is lecturer in criminology at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. He is a former police officer with 23 years of experience, and has trained personnel for deployment in Timor Leste, the Solomon Islands, Iraq and Afghanistan. Jason specializes in, and has published on engagement with Muslim communities, Indigenous Polynesian approaches to rehabilitation and reducing recidivism, and Asian Organised Crime. Jason also completed a community internship in Hebron on the West Bank.
Rev. Professor Bernard Malik is President and Founder of Leaders Institute and Founder of American College. He is also Founder of International Open University in Meghalaya, India which is a private university legislated by the Government of Meghalaya, India to expand educational opportunities for marginalised women and children from lower socio-economic/ low caste families. A global educationist and philanthropist, Rev. Professor Malik has three decades of experience in the field of international education and educational empowerment, across Australia, Africa, India, and Papua New Guinea. He has established numerous charities and social organisations including International Council of Evangelical Churches, Federation of Indian Christian Organizations of North America, Organisation for Eradication of Illiteracy and Poverty, Minority Empowerment Organisation and the Save Girl Child Organisation. Rev. Professor Malik has spent close to a decade serving as an NGO representative to the United Nations and has spent the better part of his life standing up for social issues and raising voices on behalf of the marginalised.
